Made for the 2024 OST Minigame Jam #1

The theme for this Jam was 'Hero's Journey'.

I chose to represent this with a loose 'mirror' form, following the hero as they set out from their home to overcome a challenge, then returning home, but changed. 

The optional challenge in this years jam was to use the whole tone scale, which I thought would be the perfect fit for the hero's conflict. Things got pretty weird in that middle section...

The musical aesthetic I aimed for was an odd mix of Kiasmos, The Electones, and that weird whole tone part reminded me a bit Earthbound's soundtrack... 

Created in Logic Pro. Drums played by myself using Roland E-drums.
